Sergio is the Policy Manager for the California Energy Storage Alliance (CESA), where he oversees CESA’s advocacy efforts on storage market participation, California’s Resource Adequacy framework, and long-term planning venues across the state. Sergio has expertise in policy analysis, energy economics, electric power systems, and comparative climate policy. Sergio has experience working as a political and regulatory consultant to the electricity, oil, and gas industries in Mexico and the US. Sergio holds a BA with Honors in Political Science and International Relations from Centro de Investigacion y Docencia Economicas (CIDE). Sergio also holds a Master in Public Policy from the Goldman School at UC Berkeley.
