Sergio Dueñas

Sergio is a Senior Manager at Strategen Consulting, where he primarily focuses on policy and regulatory efforts for energy storage. Previously, Sergio served as the Policy Manager for the California Energy Storage Alliance (CESA), where he oversaw CESA’s advocacy efforts on storage market participation, California’s Resource Adequacy framework, and long-term planning venues across the state. Sergio has expertise in policy analysis, energy economics, electric power systems, and comparative climate policy. Sergio has experience working as a political and regulatory consultant to the electricity, oil, and gas industries in Mexico and the US. Sergio holds a BA with Honors in Political Science and International Relations from Centro de Investigacion y Docencia Economicas (CIDE). Sergio also holds a Master in Public Policy from the Goldman School at UC Berkeley.
