Tom Tansy is CEO of DER Security Corp (www.dersec.io), a company with a mission to establish secure, interoperable, standards-based networks as a core element of the distributed energy grid. Tom is also Chairman of the SunSpec Alliance (www.sunspec.org) where he leads the distributed energy industry’s efforts to establish data and communication standards that enable seamless integration of solar PV and storage into the Smart Grid. SunSpec partnered with SAE International to publish the SunSpec V2G-AC Profile.
