Enrico Ladendorf is the CEO of Battalion Energy, a company at the forefront of developing sophisticated software for energy storage project development and operation. With its software and consulting services being the tools of choice for project developers and financiers, Battalion aids in the modeling and optimization of intricate energy storage project portfolios. The company’s Energy Management System (EMS) controls software is pivotal for project developers, enabling them to self-integrate battery storage hardware into their projects. This vertically integrated solution provides comprehensive monitoring, control, optimization, and integration with wholesale energy markets.

A recognized authority in energy storage software, Ladendorf has dedicated over 7 years specifically to this field, with an extensive 19-year background in mission-critical energy IoT software. Before his current role at Battalion, Ladendorf was the founder of Pason Power, which later joined forces with Energy Toolbase, an organization known for its leading-edge modeling, controls, and monitoring solutions for solar and energy storage projects. Under his guidance, not only were over 90+ energy storage projects realized, but his company’s software also played a crucial role in the proposal stages of tens of thousands of projects.

Ladendorf’s holds a Master of Science and Engineering in Computer and Information Science from the University of Pennsylvania, and dual Bachelor of Science degrees from the University of Texas at Austin. His educational background and professional experience have solidified his reputation as a leader and innovator in the renewable energy software industry.
