Now in its second year, the Solar Gigawatts Symposium builds on its success as a meeting place for solar professionals. European countries (in particular Germany and Spain) have years of experience in building solar markets. Installation numbers and job creation demonstrate amazing success. Growing markets (In particular Italy and France) will help create a larger and more attractive European market. The U.S. is a growing market, full of optimism and can-do attitude.
Think global, act local! Participants of Solar Gigawatts will learn about the latest policy, market and industry developments in the leading European solar countries to identify lessons applicable to the U.S. market. The event builds on key results derived from discussions of Intersolar in Munich's Solar Gigawatts Symposium, which will take place in May 2009. Key questions of the San Francisco symposium are: What can we learn from each other to expediently and efficiently grow the North American market in the various PV market segments? And what are the latest PV marketing, distribution and after sales trends in Europe and the U.S.?
