Joseph Folken, NABCEP Certified, has been installing solar since 2014. Raised in Las Vegas, he became interested in solar from a small off grid battery system at home as a hobby. He made a career change and took a few training classes. Starting from a beginning position in the solar industry, Joseph worked hard and found he had advanced to work for one of the top solar companies in Las Vegas and never looked back.
Rudy Saporite
Manager, Energy & Sustainability, Institute for Building Technology and Safety
An expert solar energy and building science, Rudy Saporite has enhanced his 23 years of construction experience with extensive training in building science and construction management. As an experienced inspector and auditor, he holds numerous certifications including BPI QAP/EP/HP/AC/MF, Level II Thermography, and NABCEP PV Installation Professional.
Johan Alfsen
Director of Product Marketing, Everest Solar Systems
Johan has over 15 years of experience in the solar industry with a wide range of expertise in solar mounting, roofing best practices, technical training, product development, and marketing. He entered the industry as a residential installer then progressed into product manufacturing and played a key role in the early development and evolution of solar mounting best practices and code compliance.
Emily Nelson
Solar Games Event Coordinator, Diversified Communications
Emily Nelson is the event coordinator for Intersolar & Energy Storage North America, and leads the Solar Games competition. Her experience spans a variety of trade shows and conferences for Diversified Communications’ renewables, running, and business accounting & finance portfolios.
