Yogin Kothari brings over a decade of experience in Congress and the nonprofit sector, with a deep understanding of how to shape, influence, and advance public policy through federal advocacy. Over the past four years, he has played a pivotal role in launching and leading the Solar Energy Manufacturers for America (SEMA) Coalition, successfully advocating for federal policies and incentives to support domestic manufacturing.
Previously, Yogin served as a Professional Staff Member on the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, where he advised Chairman Gary C. Peters on issues including regulatory affairs, climate change, environmental policy, research security, government operations, and federal records. Before his time in the Senate, he worked at the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS), representing the organization on matters such as scientific integrity, government transparency, chemical safety, and endangered species protection.
A proud Southern California native, Yogin holds a B.A. in International Affairs from George Washington University and an M.P.S. in Legislative Affairs, along with a graduate certificate in PACs and Political Management, from GW’s Graduate School of Political Management.
