Upma Koul

Upma Koul is the Vice President of the Energy Storage business at Sumitomo SHI FW (SFW). She has 25+ years of experience in market development, business development, sales, project management and engineering for energy storage and thermal power plant projects. Previously she worked for Wärtsilä in various roles and geographies including the Middle East, South and East Africa, India and Europe. She is passionate about the energy transition and organizational business transformation.
She is board member of Long Duration Energy Storage Council where she actively works with stake holders to define need for Long Duration Energy Storage for reaching Net Zero to limit the Climate Change.
