In 2014, after a transformative journey through South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia, Mohammed Abdalla founded Good Faith Energy. Inspired by the sight of solar-powered rooftops in Germany—where 40% of power is generated from solar despite limited sunlight—he set out to bring this sustainable energy solution to Texas.
Upon returning to Plano, TX, Mohammed encountered unresponsive service and a lack of clear guidance when trying to install solar on his mother’s home. This frustrating experience underscored the need for a customer-focused, educational approach in the solar industry. To bridge this gap, Mohammed dedicated two years to volunteering with local nonprofits like the North Texas Renewable Energy Group and Plano Solar Advocates, immersing himself in renewable energy education and advocacy. These experiences fueled his vision and led him to start Good Faith Energy, a company designed to bring a better, more supportive approach to solar in Texas.
Now, over a decade later, Good Faith Energy is the highest-rated solar company in Texas with over 600 five-star reviews, 3,000 solar projects completed, and 1,600 batteries installed. The company has now grown to over 50 employees, and has earned the highest certifications from Tesla, SPAN, Enphase, REC, and Meyerburger. More than just an electrical and roofing contractor, Good Faith Energy is a community-focused movement, driving the transition to a solar-powered future.
