Mike joined CES in 2014 in the Emerging Technologies group and is a recognized leader in the energy storage industry. Mike assists his clients by providing market intelligence, guidance for project development, and market analysis. Mike is an expert in FERC-related energy storage issues, and has specialized expertise in the New England, New York, and PJM markets. Mike’s work supports clients engaged in the advancement of nondiscriminatory and efficient wholesale market rules for electric storage resources.
Previously, Mike was Manager of Regulatory Affairs at a leading energy storage developer and was very active in promoting rules to enhance market opportunities for storage resources. He also helped bring new energy storage projects online, and assisted with their operational and financial management. Prior to that, Mike held various energy consulting positions in the private and public sectors. Mike holds an MS in Technology and Policy from MIT and a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Wesleyan University.
