Melina Acevedo

Melina Acevedo is a project management and development professional at D.E. Shaw Renewable Investments (DESRI), a leading Independent Power Producer in the United States, focusing on the mid-stage development of utility-scale solar power plant projects across MISO and SPP.  As a first-generation college graduate and immigrant from Peru, Melina is passionate about advancing DEI leadership and practices in the clean energy industry to create a more diverse and equitable workforce with clear opportunities for upward mobility. She is on the leadership team of LatinXs in Sustainability, a group focused on increasing pathways for LatinX professionals and communities into the clean energy and sustainability fields. She was previously a Board Member of YPE SF Bay Area, where she created and led its Scholarship Program for students to increase access to clean energy careers.
