Dr. Karim Farhat is a nationally recognized e-mobility business leader and under-forty innovator in utility and energy sectors, with 16 years of expertise in transportation electrification, smart EV charging, and distributed energy resources. Most recently, Karim served as Chief Commercial Officer at EV Charging Solutions (EVCS), overseeing one of the largest and fastest-growing public EV charging networks on the U.S. West Coast. In this role, he led EV charging product development, customer solutions, support operations, strategic partnerships, business intelligence, marketing, and policy.
Previously, Karim founded and led the Clean Mobility Solutions advisory practice at ENGIE Impact, the consulting division of ENGIE Group. His career also includes leadership roles advancing EV charging and clean energy innovations at PG&E, BCG, Shell, and Stanford University.
Karim earned a PhD in Management Science and Engineering and an MS in Energy Resources Engineering from Stanford University, as well as a BS in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University.
