Competition Details
The Solar Games 2022 competition was held in the Intersolar North America and Energy Storage North America exhibit hall at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, CA.
OVERVIEW
The industry’s first-ever installer competition, the Solar Games tasks teams with building residential solar + storage systems live on the Intersolar North America and Energy Storage North America expo hall floor. Teams that compete will be judged on installation quality, safety, speed, and other criteria.

COMPETITION SCHEDULE
There were six matchups in the 2022 tournament. Each matchup lasted 75-90 minutes. The first round was a grid-tied installation; the winners from Day One’s matchups moved on to Day Two.
The semi-final matchups were an off-grid installation. The winners from those rounds competed in the championship round, which was a grid-tied installation.
