Set to debut at Intersolar North America from February 4-6, 2020 at the San Diego Convention Center, the Solar Games is a bracketed competition where eight teams will build a residential rooftop solar + storage system. Comradery, technique, and focus will be on display as the four-person teams compete in a stadium setting live on the Expo Hall floor during all three days of the #isna2020 expo and conference.
Tasked with installing the main product components of a solar + storage system—solar modules, racking, inverters, and battery storage—install teams will be judged on a point system for quality, safety, and speed. They will have 30 days in advance to familiarize themselves with the products pre-selected by the Intersolar North America Solar Games committee.
Two teams on side-by-side 16×22 foot rooftops will face off at a time, with the victor moving on to the next round. The championship-round winner will be named the first-ever Solar Games Champion on the final day.
The Solar Games presents a unique opportunity for sponsors, whose equipment and components may be used in the live competition and promoted along with this exciting new event at Intersolar North America 2020.
Intersolar North America exhibitors—from all product categories—have exclusive rights to sponsorships, which include added exposure on the show floor and live product demonstrations in the competition. System and stadium sponsorship opportunities are available.
