This session features urban micro/minigrids designed to be interconnected with the central grid, which means that under normal conditions they operate as part of the central grid. Such grids are flexible and support the integration and utilization of renewable energy sources as well as electrical energy storage devices. The integration of distributed generation sources into the grid has made the reliability of power supply a concern.
