More than 75% of US commercial buildings are under 10,000 sqft, which typically corresponds to about 100kWdc of solar capacity and 200kWh of energy storage. However, integrating energy storage systems (ESS) at this scale has been a persistent challenge. Many of these buildings have limited outdoor space, and installing lithium-ion batteries indoors is often not allowed. Installers can mitigate this issue with modular batteries designed to fit beneath solar panels.
Yotta Energy has seen success by designing and installing modular battery storage for commercial applications. Andrew Tanner, CTO from Yotta Energy will discuss findings from one of our local product sites, the Texas Country & District Retirement System HQ (TCDRS) and how this new technology is being successfully deployed. Audience members will gain insights into its impact on efficiency, cost savings, and how developers can overcome space constraints in commercial buildings.
