Keynote Panel: What’s in Store for Storage and Solar in Texas?

Nov 20 2024

8:45 AM - 9:30 AM PT

2025 will be a consequential year for renewables in Texas. ERCOT has over 350 GW of interconnection requests in its queue – of which more than 80% are solar and storage – and this year the state will overtake California as the top market for clean energy. On the flip side, the 2025 89th Legislative Session will convene in January, when state lawmakers will consider adding incentives for more thermal generation. Resilience will be on the docket as well, with nearly $2 billion in the newly created Texas Energy Fund available for microgrids and backup power resources. This keynote panel will review where the Texas energy market is going, which scenarios are likely to play out, and how it can strengthen its grid with massive renewables deployments.
