Commercial Solar Panel Recycling (CSPR) has opened its New Jersey headquarters and flagship solar panel processing facility — the first dedicated solar panel recycling site in the state.
The Phillipsburg facility joins CSPR’s growing national network of operational centers, located in Canajoharie, New York, and Atwater, California.
As landfill space continues to dwindle, responsible recycling solutions have become a growing concern across New Jersey and the rest of the U.S.
CSPR, which is committed to scaling its operations to address the growing demand for national solar panel reycliing, supports the country’s broader goals of landfill diversification, circular economy adoption, and environmental leadership.
The company was granted a Research, Development, and Demonstration (RD&D) permit by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) in November of last year— the first of its kind.
“We are honored by the turnout and inspired by the collective enthusiasm for sustainable solutions and business support,” said Glenn Laga, CSPR President and Co-Founder, in a statement. “Thanks to NJDEP’s forward-thinking approach, we are proud to be the first to demonstrate what’s possible in PV recycling in New Jersey.
