03.09.2009 Intersolar Expands into India
Intersolar, the world’s largest trade show for solar technology, is expanding into India. Intersolar India will take place for the first time in 2009 in association with SOLARCON® India, being held in Hyderabad from November 9-11. Alongside the Intersolar events in Munich and San Francisco, the trade show will now have a third international location.
The co-located Intersolar North America and SEMICON West events, which took place last week in San Francisco, presented more than 560 solar exhibitors to approximately 17,000 trade visitors, exceeding organizers expectations for the second straight year. Intersolar North America alone featured 444 exhibitors, up from 210 exhibitors a year before – a 111 percent increase.
The opening session speech drew large crowds and rousing applause after Mayor Newsom outlined several aspects of San Francisco's focus on sustainability and thanked the crowd for their ongoing contributions to the clean energy industry.
Select companies will make in depth presentations and offer insight into the atmosphere and environment of the solar industry from the perspective of a new company "breaking in."
