To be successful, a solar company has to differentiate itself from the crowd through with groundbreaking ideas and technological innovations. Intersolar strives to promote the industry’s power to innovate. To this end, the Intersolar AWARD, the award for innovation in the international solar industry, is presented each year. The Intersolar AWARD has established itself as the industry’s flagship and draws worldwide public attention to nominees and winners.
Intersolar Europe 2012 will host the fifth award ceremony. The industry-renowned Intersolar AWARD is annually given out by an independent panel of judges. The award categories for the pioneering products and services are Photovoltaics, Solar Thermal Technologies and PV Production Technologies (in cooperation with SEMI PV Group). Exhibitors at Intersolar Europe, Intersolar North America, Intersolar India and Intersolar China are all eligible to compete for the Intersolar AWARD. This means that more than 3,000 companies are called upon to prove their innovative power.
The Intersolar AWARD will be presented at Intersolar Europe on June 13, 2012, 4:30pm, at the Innovation Exchange in hall B3, booth B3.450
A new prize category, entitled Solar Projects, has been added to the Intersolar AWARD for 2012. In addition to the well-established prizes for Photovoltaics, Solar Thermal Technologies and PV Production Technologies, the 2012 Intersolar AWARD will, for the first time, pay tribute to outstanding projects in the new category: Solar Projects in North America. Projects in the following fields are eligible for submission:
In order to be eligible, projects must be fully completed at the time of submission to the Intersolar AWARD and must not be more than two years old.
Solar Projects in North America is the first prize category in the Solar Projects field. Entries will be accepted in this category once the Intersolar AWARD 2012 submission period begins on February 1, 2012. Exhibitors at Intersolar Europe 2012, Intersolar North America 2012, Intersolar China 2011 and Intersolar India 2011 are eligible to participate. The Intersolar AWARD 2012 for Solar Projects in North America will be presented in a ceremony at Intersolar North America on July 10, 2012, in San Francisco.
The provisional date for submissions in the categories Solar Projects in China and Solar Projects in India is July 2012. Exhibitors at Intersolar Europe 2012, Intersolar North America 2012, Intersolar China 2012 and Intersolar India 2012 are eligible to participate in these categories.
Intersolar AWARD winners receive additional exhibit space at all Intersolar Events for that year. Additionally, past and present winners receive profiles of their winning product or service online for visitors and journalists to view.
